Portugal offers a rare balance of affordability, stability, accessibility, and opportunity — making it an ideal country in which to establish the foundation for New Earth.
Lisbon, as an internationally connected and culturally vibrant city, provides both visibility and credibility, while still offering greater feasibility than starting in the UK. Beginning here allows the model to be demonstrated clearly and responsibly before expanding outward.
Urban-Edge
Lisbon’s metropolitan area contains over 150 km² of underutilised or brownfield land.
The first seed of New Earth will be planted in a suburban area on the threshold between city and countryside.
This location combines accessibility to Lisbon’s international transport and vibrant cultural life, with the potential to transform underutilised land into a sustainable and inviting space.
Residents and guests can enjoy independence or community within a thoughtfully designed environment.
The site will provide the perfect balance of visibility, feasibility, and opportunity for urban-edge regeneration, making Lisbon the ideal foundation for New Earth.
Here, we will search for and acquire an ideal 200–400 m² site. £100,000, our first goal, will secure the land and prepare it for New Earth.

As Lisbon takes root, the location of our next project will go to vote. The community will determine which of the proposed locations becomes the second site of New Earth...

As awareness grows, New Earth will blossom into an unbounded, conscious and interconnected demonstration of true global democracy.
